Gem employ a dedicated team of experienced and appropriately qualified engineers to carryout water testing requirements and processes, complete an appropriate risk assessment and provide the subsequent cleaning or remedial requirements.
Legionnaires’ disease is a severe form of pneumonia — lung inflammation usually caused by infection; most people get Legionnaires’ disease from inhaling or drinking the bacteria, by way of air-conditioning or infected water storage and distribution.
Water testing includes
1 – nitrate levels – created by water run-off including animal waste, farming chemicals etc.
2 – Chlorine
3 – Physical contaminates
4 – Leptospirosis (rat urine)
5 – Bacteria
6 – Arsenic
7 -FHA contamination
Gem Engineers will collect samples of water, in accordance with legislation requirements, these are then sent for testing at approved facilities.
On receipt of results, we will
1 – File the results and do nothing
2 – Initiate the cleaning processes as required for the results found
3 – Update Clients with findings and any requirements or recommendations
4 – Provide support to prevent future occurrences.
