Introduction

Founded over 25 years ago, with offices in both North and South London, GEM has become one of the fastest growing and most reliable maintenance companies across London and the South East.

Our main areas of expertise include:

  • District Heating Services – providing heating and hot water services to multiple individual properties
  • Electrical Services – completing projects ranging from smaller type indwelling repairs to major works
  • Water Services – offering full water hygiene and monitoring services and ensuring compliance with the latest regulations
  • Building Management Systems (BMS) – supply and maintenance of BMS systems, including fault dialogise across all types of systems

The Team

We employ over 120 fantastically skilled and friendly staff across our organisation. We are proud of our workforce and the sector experience they bring to our organisation.

Our strategic vision is implemented and driven by our Board of Directors, our operations are managed by our Senior Management Team, and our highly important operation activity is carried out by our impressive teams of trained engineers and friendly office-based teams.

Our training opportunities are second to none, with engineers receiving fully funded refresher training when required and office staff being encouraged to fulfil their full potential by accessing avenues of progression within our organisation.

The Fleet

GEM has a fleet of over 70 recognisable, iconic vehicles serving our communities.

Our fleet is ULEZ compliant 

Our fleet has been awarded the bronze certificate achievement from FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) each consecutive year running since 2016.

Our fleet contains three hybrid vehicles serving our Camden, Islington and Westminster communities.

Our fleet is registered with the Don’t Be Idle campaign, an initiative set up by the Westminster City Council to show our commitment to improving the air quality in our city.

Environmentally-Dynamic

As an environmentally-friendly contractor, GEM has appointed a waste broker to ensure the company’s waste is disposed of correctly in a complaint matter in line with our accreditation ISO14001:2015. Our brokers, ACM

Environmental, use licenced contractors that ensure our waste is disposed of in a renewing and regenerating way, with 0% going to landfill.
